Refund Policy
Last updated September 8th, 2026
Caption X is operated by Tether Technologies Pty Ltd. This policy explains when we refund a payment, and what we ask you to do first.
Try Caption X before you subscribe
You do not need to pay to see what Caption X produces. A free account lets you transcribe your video and export a finished, captioned copy with a watermark on it. Subscribing removes the watermark and unlocks the paid features.
We recommend exporting a free copy first, so you know exactly what you are getting before you pay for anything.
Tell us what went wrong
If Caption X is not doing what you expected, email us at support@caption-x.com and tell us what the problem is. Most issues — caption accuracy, timing, styling, or an export that will not finish — can be fixed, and we would much rather fix them than lose you.
We do not issue refunds without first understanding what went wrong. That is not us making refunds difficult. It is the only way we get the chance to fix the problem, both for you and for everyone who runs into it after you.
When we refund
If you report a problem within 14 days of a payment and we cannot resolve it for you, we will refund that payment in full.
Outside of that, subscription payments are not refundable, but you can cancel at any time so that you are not charged again.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancelling stops all future payments. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any consumer law that applies where you live. If you are in the EU or the UK, you may also have a separate right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days.
