CapCut has a built-in auto-caption tool, but it reliably supports only English and a handful of major languages. Dense Korean character blocks without proper line breaks are hard to follow at typical short-video viewing speed — but CapCut's caption editor provides no line-break guidance, so manual caption entry often results in blocks that feel rushed or cramped.

CaptionX is being designed to set Korean line breaks at natural phrase boundaries, not at arbitrary character counts, so the resulting captions feel comfortable at short-form viewing speed. The goal is that a Korean creator can import the generated captions into CapCut and publish without a manual line-review pass on every clip.
