Tutorial workflow
Follow this sequence from setup to export to keep your caption workflow fast and reliable.
Create an account, then download and install the extension from your dashboard.
Open your Premiere project, then launch CaptionX from the Extensions menu.
Choose Cantonese as your caption language, select your audio track, then pick caption length. Cantonese uses CJK characters — keep lines short since CJK text is denser per character than Latin script.
Generate captions, then review line breaks carefully — CJK captions read best with shorter lines. Export as SRT or place styled captions directly in your Premiere sequence.
Cantonese has roughly 85 million speakers worldwide. Cantonese captions usually use the CJK writing system and are read LTR. Primary markets: Hong Kong SAR China and China.
