New
- Four new caption styles. Bounce, Boxed, Night Drive and Curve are in the Animated tab. Like the other styles, you can change their font, colour, size and position before you add them.
- Your own templates. Made a caption template in After Effects? In the Animated tab, click Import your own .mogrt and CaptionX puts each caption into the template's text. Templates made in Premiere can't be filled this way, so the import tells you when one won't work.
- Captions from your subtitle file. Under Captions from, pick Your subtitle file and choose an SRT or VTT file to use your own captions instead of transcribing. It works in the Animated and Editable Text tabs.
- A redesigned style picker. Styles sit in two columns with filters for All, Word by word, Boxes, Outline, Minimal, Effects and Yours. The style you used last comes first, and the previews play as you scroll.
- Hinglish. Hindi written in the Latin alphabet is now in the language list.
- What's new, in the panel. The first time you open a new version, a short note shows what changed.
Improved
- Eye Contact Correction. On a clip with In and Out marks, the trim now opens on the marked part. Before you correct a clip, the panel shows tips for the best result: camera at eye level, your face filling a good part of the frame, facing the camera and your script close to the lens. If the eyes couldn't be adjusted in much of the clip, it now tells you the likely reason. Eye Contact Correction for Premiere Pro
Fixed
- Silence Remover. Apply Cuts now really shortens your sequence: picture and sound stay in sync and clip effects are kept. Cut pauses no longer come back, and running it again or on a track with several clips no longer drops the end of your video. Lock a track, such as your music, to leave it whole. Remove silence in Premiere Pro automatically
- No more Link Media prompts. Editable Text captions no longer ask you to relink a caption file when you reopen your project.
- Long transcript reviews. Spending a long time in the Review screen before adding animated captions no longer signs you out and loses your edits.
- Stretch. With Stretch on, editable animated captions no longer leave a one-frame gap between one caption and the next.
- Eye contact on marked clips. Correcting a clip that has In and Out marks now corrects exactly the part you marked.
The new styles and your own templates need Premiere 2026 or newer.
